Tell us about yourself.

I was born and raised in Overland Park and after graduating from Rockhurst High school, spent 4 years at Colorado State University where I graduated with a degree in Business Management. After college, I spent 3 months traveling Australia, Fiji and New Zealand. My first job out of college was with a Spring Break company in Florida. I worked there as the top performer for 3 years while running our Acapulco program for 6 weeks at a time, each year. An opportunity opened up for me at my father's company and for the last 2 years I've been working at Jayhawk Plastics where I am the Sales Manager for our Outdoor Products division. For the last year and a half I've been creating a new startup with my good friend, Adam Griffin. It's called BumblePost. We've created a unique, inexpensive and creative way for consumers and business to send out greeting cards during the year. I love to read, travel, write and create new ideas with like-minded individuals.

Why did you join KC Young Professionals?

My sister joined and I wasn't to be upstaged. :) In all honesty, it's something I've been wanting to do but just haven't joined and she kicked me into gear by joining. I'm interested in learning from others, meeting new people and getting to know some of the other movers and shakers in Kansas City.
