Tell us about yourself.

As a Senior Business Partner in Corporate Security for Target, I design Target's supply chain security program. Target has approximately 40 distribution facilities across the US, each with a dedicated security team. I design the policies, processes, technology, and tactics those teams use to secure the facilities. My team is based in Minneapolis, MN at Target’s US headquarters but I recently moved back to KC to work remotely as part of a new initiative within Target. In addition to my core role, I also lead the Talent Effectiveness team within Target’s Hispanic Business Council. My team fosters authentic connections, networking opportunities, and leadership development within the Hispanic Business Council to support Target’s diversity and inclusion efforts across the company. I'm originally from Kansas City, graduated from Olathe East High School and the University of Kansas with a bachelor’s in Sociology. While with Target, I’ve had the opportunity to serve on the Board of Directors for Capital Area Crime Stoppers of Topeka, KS and was an active member of the Minneapolis Young Professionals. Prior to joining Target in 2005, I spent 2 years in the United States Air Force.

Why did you join KC Young Professionals?

While living in Minneapolis, MN I had the opportunity to get involved in the Minneapolis Young Professionals and found tremendous value in the networking opportunities provided by the organization. Now that I have recently moved back to the Kansas City area, I am looking forward to the opportunity to expand my network by reconnecting with former contacts and colleagues, and creating new relationships as well.
