Intellectually curious and professionally adaptable, I've had a variety of positions in my career that have afforded me a unique "breadth" of skills, while maintaining "depth" in some areas. My professional and personal interests have always revolved around a combination of music, visual arts/design, and technology, to some degree or another. In college I began as a graphic design major, but ended up with a degree in Music, focusing on audio production. I loved being in the studio and having to use creative problem solving in dealing with complex technology, yet appreciated the theory, composition and more theoretical aspects of music. Having such a broad music background is what I believe makes me reflexive, adaptable, and able to quickly tackle new challenges with patience, skill, and discipline. Throughout college, I worked mostly in retail, including being a rep for Hewlett Packard. I moved to Denver in 2008, and wound up spending two years in an Executive Coaching company where I managed everything from networking events to websites, marketing, design, and video/audio production. In 2011 I moved back to the Kansas City area to be closer to friends and family and worked as a freelancer on various projects. I am now a Meetings & Events Producer in the Public Affairs & Communications department at Hallmark Cards and enjoy working there immensely!
