Tell us about yourself.
I graduated from KSU in Dec 05 with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and a Minor in Business Administration. I took a job with Cerner Corporation, where I worked for 5 years. My main focus was working with ER nurses and physicians to help them design, build, maintain, troubleshoot, train and eventually implement our software solutions into thier ER's. I decided to leave Cerner in Feb of 2011 and I took a job with a smaller company in KC doing third party Healthcare IT Consulting on a contract. I currently work in Raleigh, NC every week and will until Feb of 2012. I still work w Cerner software but I am now an Integration Analyst and my job responsibility is much more broad and in depth. For fun I like to read, work out, go out, shop, play basketball, softball, tennis or volleyball and of course, go to dinner/drinks with my many wonderful friends around the KC area.
Why did you join KC Young Professionals?
To learn about other careers out there that people my age have and just to get to know more people around the area.

That sounds cool, so I guess Raleigh is like your second home now... Well, as I said before I am starting up a career with Northwestern Mutual and I am really focused on getting out and meeting as many young, successful, and ambitious people like yourself as possible. Hey Stephanie, I was looking around on here and saw that you are working at Cerner. I'm with Northwestern Mutual and work with some other people at Cerner. I am always looking for new people to work with or just get introduced to. I'm out at Cerner a couple times a month so sometime when you in town, I would like to catch you on your lunh break or when you have some free time. So if you are interested I would appreciate a chance to introduce my self.
